Hot air balloon's are a kind of aircraft's, but they are very lighter in weight. They are fly in air because of the hot air pumped in them. Here are some interesting and amazing Hot Air Balloon's Facts.


1. Tested on Animals First

Hot air balloon was first tested on animals. These animals are - a rooster, a duck and a sheep. This test was performed in the royal palace of Versailles, in front of King Louis XVI, Mary Antoinetteand other crowd. This text of hot balloon on animals became successful.

2. Tested on Humans

Once the test of hot air balloon became successful, The next one to do this test on, is Humans. But King Louis did not want to danger a human life for this test. Then he suggested to do this test on criminals.But balloon’s co-inventor, Jean-François Pilâtre de Rozier, along with the Marquis François d’Arlandes, refused this suggestion because they think it was important that at least one of the balloon’s pilots knew how to operate the balloon . At last, the two men successfully performed the first manned hot-air balloon flight in 1783.


3. First death on hot air balloon

The first man who die on hot air balloon was also the first man who get flight on it. Few year ago after successfully tested the hot air balloon flight, he decided to move onto more ambitious projects. He designed a new hot air balloon and claimed that it would be able to cross the English Channel. But his claims proved to be wrong and his balloon explode.

4. Cross English Channel

The first man who crossed the English Channel in 7 January, 1785 was Jean-Pierre Blanchard.

5. Equipments for balloon's

Balloons include several parts: the envelope , the basket, burners and fuel system.

6. World Record

The world record for highest helium hot-air balloon trip is 70,000 feet by a Google executive named Alan Eustace. But the record that is set by an Indian named Vijaypat Singhania with the traditional hot air balloon is yet to be broken.

7. Very hot air

The air in the balloon is very hot that it can easily boil the water.
